For Restaurants
1) What is TableTaps?
TableTaps is a SaaS platform for restaurants that provides QR menu ordering, POS and order management tools, online ordering pages, and a restaurant website builder.
2) Is TableTaps a restaurant or delivery service?
No. TableTaps provides software infrastructure. Restaurants are responsible for menu, pricing, preparation, delivery (if offered), and customer service for fulfillment.
3) What do I need to start?
A phone number for login, your restaurant details, and your menu. You can print a QR sticker or share your restaurant link online.
4) Do you provide a website for my restaurant?
Yes. Every plan supports a shareable restaurant page where customers can view your menu, place orders, and contact you.
5) Can I take dine-in and delivery orders?
Yes. You can support dine-in orders (table-based) and delivery orders based on your restaurant settings and menu item availability.
6) Can I accept online payments?
Yes, depending on your configuration. Online payments are processed via supported payment gateways such as PhonePe.
7) Do you store customer card or banking details?
No. Card and banking credentials are handled by payment providers. TableTaps stores only transaction references and payment status needed to operate orders and support.
8) How does pricing work?
Restaurants subscribe to monthly or yearly plans. The pricing page shows active plans and included features.
9) What happens if my subscription expires?
Access to some or all platform features may be limited until renewal. Your data remains available according to our retention and security practices.
10) Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Cancellation prevents future billing. Your current subscription typically stays active until the end of the billing cycle.
11) Can I upload my logo, cover image, and gallery?
Yes. You can manage your restaurant branding and gallery from your dashboard, and images appear on your customer-facing restaurant page.
12) Can I edit my menu anytime?
Yes. You can add categories, items, prices, images, and availability updates from the dashboard.
13) How do order status updates work?
Orders move through statuses based on restaurant actions. Customers can see relevant updates on the restaurant ordering flow when applicable.
14) Can I run promotions or remarket to customers?
Some plans support customer marketing features like WhatsApp/SMS outreach based on your customer database and applicable rules.
15) How can I contact support?
Email support@tabletaps.in with your registered phone number and a brief description of the issue.
For Customers
16) How do I place an order?
Scan the restaurant QR code (or open their link), browse items, add to cart, and place the order. The restaurant receives it for fulfillment.
17) Do I need an account to order?
Typically no. Some restaurants may ask for your phone number to confirm orders or provide support.
18) Can I pay online?
If the restaurant supports online payments, you can pay through the available payment provider during checkout.
19) Who is responsible for my food order?
The restaurant is responsible for menu accuracy, preparation, delivery (if offered), and support. TableTaps provides the ordering software.
20) What if the restaurant is closed?
If ordering is unavailable, you may see the restaurant marked closed. For availability questions, contact the restaurant directly using the phone number on the page.
21) How are reviews handled?
Reviews should be genuine and respectful. Phone numbers are masked publicly, and abusive or spam content may be removed.
22) What data do you collect when I order?
Restaurants may collect order details like items, table number, delivery address (if applicable), and phone number for support. TableTaps processes and stores data needed to run the ordering flow and maintain records.
23) Can I request deletion of my data?
You can contact support to request correction or deletion, subject to legal, security, and operational retention requirements.
Payments, Refunds, and Security
24) Is my payment information safe?
Payment processing is handled by payment providers. TableTaps does not store sensitive card or banking credentials. We implement reasonable security measures to protect platform data.
25) Who handles customer refunds?
Customer order refunds are handled by the restaurant according to order status and their policy. TableTaps can assist with technical verification when needed.
26) How do subscription refunds work?
Subscription refund eligibility is limited to cases like duplicate payments or billing errors. Review and processing timelines are described on the Refunds page.
27) What should I include in a refund request?
Email support with your registered phone number, transaction reference, and the reason for your request. For customer orders, contact the restaurant first.
28) How do you handle fraud or abuse?
We use reasonable safeguards to detect and prevent abuse. Accounts may be restricted or suspended for suspected fraud, misuse, or security risks.
29) How can I report a security issue?
Email support@tabletaps.in with details. Avoid sharing sensitive information like OTPs, UPI PINs, or full card numbers.
